Robert "Soupy" Campbell

Robert G. “Soupy” Campbell, 72, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday June 21, 2022 at home with his family at his side.

Born January 23, 1950 in Rochester a son of the late George and Emma (Boyd) Campbell. Growing up in Bridgewater he went to work at J&L Steel and then joined the Marine Corps to serve his country and returned to J&J until his retirement. He enjoyed his boating experience meeting and making so many friends. He also loved his motorcycles and owning the former Soupy’s Pub in New Brighton.

Survived by his wife Nancy Campbell, her family son Patrick Roman, daughters Maria Dixon, Christine Cuddy, Tracy Cline and their families, two brothers George (Mary) Campbell, Jay (Janet) Campbell, brother-in-law Vic Hall, many nieces and nephews and his best buddy Trump his husky.

In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by his sister Margarite (Maude) “Sis” Hall.

Honoring his wishes there will be no viewing a memorial service will be held later to be announced by his family.
