Robert P. 'Zeke' Circle
Robert P. "Zeke" Circle, 88, of New Brighton passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Providence Health Care.
Born August 26, 1925 in New Brighton a son of the late John and Katherine (Miladin) Circle, he was a graduate of New Brighton High School, Class of 1943 and was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy. He had worked at the former Strayer Coinbag Co. in New Brighton and was an all-around handyman. He served on the New Brighton Boro Council for 28, years. Zeke was a lifetime member of the following clubs: the American Legion Post No. 19, where he was past-commander three times, the United Croatian Club, the Oak Hill Vets, the F.O.E. No. 1342, all of New Brighton and the Rochester Elks No. 283.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Charlotte (Cain) Circle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marion Kay and Mark Steffen and Zeke's grandson, Maxwell Robert Steffen, all of North Sewickley Twp., and Bobbi Jean and Leroy Voskuhl, Ft. Myers, FL; one sister, Betty Olzak, Missouri; one brother-in-law and his wife, Robert Wayne and Patricia Cain, White Twp.; three nephews, Robbie (Sharon) Cain, Eddie (Shelia) Cain and Timmie (Tracy) Cain and a very special family friend, Nancy Steffen.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of blessing service at 11 a.m.
Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Providence for the wonderful care given to their loved one.
Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home to provide military honors.
