Ronald R. Blackburn

Ronald R. Blackburn New Brighton Ronald R. Blackburn, 86, of New Brighton, passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at his home. Born February 3, 1933, in Harmony, a son of the late Roy O. and Ethel L. (Nesbit) Blackburn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1953 to 1955 and a member of the American Legion, Post #19, New Brighton. He was retired from Conrail where he worked as a clerk. Surviving are his sister, Nora L. Spratt, New Brighton, five nephews, one niece, thirteen great nieces and nephews, many great great nieces and nephews and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, James P. Spratt and great nephew, Jay Dylan Spratt. There will be no viewing. Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating. Inunrment will take place in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
