Rose E. "Dolly" (Mason) Vukich, 97, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at her home.
Born February 28, 1916, in New Brighton, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Rose (Rank) Mason. She was the last of nine children in her family and a lifetime member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Vukich, on November 22, 1995; a grandson, Shawn Brayshaw; six brothers, Frank "Dad", Eugene, Ralph, Edwin "Bus", Paul and John Mason, and two sisters, Mary Kralic and Clara Smith.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kathryn Vukich, and Edwin and Bon Vukich, all of New Brighton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Clara and Arlen Davis, Paso Robles, CA, and Rosemary Vukich, Scotts Valley, CA; seven grandchildren, Roy Brayshaw, Craig (Barb) Vukich, Chris Vukich, Jill (Scott) Rosengren, Jennifer (Jason) Tuorila, Lori and Robin Goldberg; three great-grandchildren, A.J., Mitch and Shalyn Vukich, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
