Roy L. Strohecker
East Rochester, Formerly of Big Beaver
Roy L. Stro-hecker, 65, of East Rochester, formerly of Big Beaver, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born January 11, 1951, in Ellwood City, a son of the late Floyd and Gladys (Flesher) Strohecker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. Roy was a retired self-employed truck driver and had also worked at the former Iron & Wire Steel of Ellwood City. He enjoyed his time outdoors hunting, fishing and playing with his toys.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Dori (Barto) Strohecker; one daughter, Tracie Bell, and one son, Lee Strohecker, both of New Brighton; four grandchildren, Sheyanne, Kalob, Kyle and Aaliyah; one brother, Bill (Brenda) Strohecker, Big Beaver; two sisters, Darlene Kliensmith, New Castle, and Barbara Strohecker, Beaver Falls, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Strohecker.
Friends will be received Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with his brother-in-law, Rev. Wade Barto, officiating.
Cremation will take place after the service.
