Ruth 'Ruthie' (Barnett) Sheets

Ruth "Ruthie" (Barnett) Sheets, 90, of Pulaski Twp., passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born November 26, 1921, in New Brighton; a daughter of the late Emery and Mary (Frame) Barnett. She had been a member of the Homemakers Club and was herself a dedicated loving homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle H. Sheets, May 4, 1994; one sister, Grace, and four brothers, Emery, Leroy, Merle and Melvin.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Larry Sheets, Garry and Dee Sheets, all of Clarington, PA, David and Deborah Sheets, Ellwood City, Melvin and Pat Sheets, New Brighton; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 11 great great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Harrison, Gordonsville, PA; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Barnett, Maxine Barnett, Judy Barnett and Rose Sheets, and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received today 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Win Groseclose, of Burry's Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
