Samuel J. Vucelich
Samuel J. Vucelich, 58, of North Sewickley Twp., passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, unexpectedly at his home.
Born June 16, 1955, in Export, PA, he was a son of Sam and Alice (Paulich) Vucelich of Export. He had worked for Glade Run Lutheran Services in Zelienople for many years. He was a certified basketball official and professional golf caddy. Sam was also an awesome cook, great party host, best dad ever and proud grandpa.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife of 36 years, Bobbie Jo (Mujwit) Vucelich; three sons, Samuel J. Vucelich Jr., Tampa, FL; Alex Vucelich, Nashville, TN and Mike Vucelich, Scottsdale, AZ; two daughters, Allie Vucelich, San Diego, CA and Bekah Vucelich, Tampa, FL; two foster daughters, Sheila (Scott) Wolfe, Youngstown, OH and Dana (Mike) Thomas, New Brighton; one grandson, Samuel J. Vucelich III; eight foster grandchildren, Buddy, Stephanie, Bobby, Nathan, Jimmy, Danielle, Shane and Alexis; foster great-grandchildren, T.J., Shauna, Kayla and Tyler.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David M. Vucelich.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Tuesday viewing will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Concord United Methodist Church, North Sewickley Twp., with the Rev. Brad K. Neel, officiating.
Private interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery, Export, PA.
