Sara "Snookie" (James) Newman

Sara Jane “Snookie” (James) Newman, 72, of New Brighton, passed Monday November 18, 2019 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born September 26, 1947 in Beaver Falls a daughter of the late Robert Covington and Jane James. She was retired from Cutler Hammer, Eaton and Westinghouse where she had 42 years of service. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving are one son Conrad Newman, one daughter and son-in-law Angela “Nikki” and Maurice Bell, all of New Brighton, six grandchildren Ryan(Chelsea) Houk, Natasha Houk, Makayla Bell, Jasmine Bell, Ayanna Bell and Amaya Bell, three great-grandchildren Tyler Vaughn, Tanner Vaughn and Maddox Bell, one sister Beverly James, New Brighton, one brother Ronald “Po” James, Dover, Delaware a host of nieces, nephews, uncles especially Louis James with who she had a special bond, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received Monday November 25, 2019 from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 12 Noon in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, with the Rev. Bobby Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery.
