Sheree E. (Carpenter) Smith

Sheree E. (Carpenter) Smith, 65, of New Brighton, passed away Thursday February 24. 2022 at Heritage Valley Sewickley, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 9, 1956 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Charles and Theda (Sweitzer) Soltes. Sheree was a Criminal Justice major who helped women and children in need at the Women’s Center of Beaver, and a former volunteer at Heritage Valley Beaver. She was a devout Christian who attended several churches in Beaver County throughout the years. In recent years, she enjoyed attending the Circle of Friends in New Brighton. Her family was her world, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, her children, and her beloved husband. Sheree was an avid bowler and Elvis fan, and enjoyed traveling and casino trips with family and friends.

Survived by her husband of 27 years Cary D. Smith, one son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Kimberly Maley, Center Twp., six beloved grandchildren Justin, Jaden, Ashton, Liam and Alyssa Maley and Jala Wennblom, one sister Carole Olsen, Aliquippa; one brother Larry (Judi) Carpenter, Beaver; cousin Sue LeClair, dear friend Denise Barber, Center Twp., a “sisterfriend” Jennifer Bobanic, Hookstown, dear friend Landa “Cookie” Evans, adopted grandma Fran Tyson, friend Norma Castelucci, and many other friends at E.B. McNutt, all of New Brighton, and her beloved dog “Taco Tyson.”

Friends will be received Monday from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 1:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, with Pastor Jack Robison officiating.

Cremation will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Women’s Center of Beaver County.
