Shirley K. (Ziegel) Mooney Pritchard
Shirley K. (Ziegel) Mooney Pritchard, 88, of Hopewell Twp., formerly of New Brighton, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver.
Born February 11, 1927 in New Brighton a daughter of the late Charles Wilbur and Mary (Kyser) Ziegel Rutecki, she attended New Brighton schools and married Emerson J. Mooney in 1943. She had been a member of the First Church of God, New Brighton, where she was a Sunday school teacher and youth leader. She worked at the former Johnny's Restaurant of Beaver Falls. In 1964 she moved to Lisbon, OH and married Arthur W. Pritchard in 1973. There she was a member of Trinity Friends Church and was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer and financial secretary. She worked at Appleseed Restaurant in Lisbon and became the owner in the 80's. She moved back to Beaver County to be with her family in 2003 and attended Chippewa Evangelical Free Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Alex Rutecki; her husband, Arthur Pritchard; a granddaughter, Andrea Lynn Mooney and daughter, Susan Kay Mooney.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles "Pat" and Patsy Mooney, Hopewell Twp.; Emerson and Donna Mooney and Dennis and Patty Mooney, both of New Brighton; a daughter, Sherryl Mooney, Economy; 12 grandchildren, 143 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Friends will be received Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m.
Private interment will take place in Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, OH.
