Stephen Joseph Sabella
Stephen Joseph Sabella, 45, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015, at Allegheny General Hospital with his family at his side.
Born August 20, 1970 in New Brighton, the son of Joseph E. Sabella and the late Judith (Glover) Sabella. Stephen was a graduate of New Horizon School and was currently attending HAP Adult Center. A longtime camper at various camps for forty years, the last one was at Camp Spencer in Fombell. He had a tremendous love for animals going to any park or zoo and enjoyed reading, shopping and movies. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.
Surviving in addition to his father, Joseph, are aunts and uncles, Tony and Peggy Sabella, New Brighton; Robert Glover, Seattle, WA, and Byron and Bobbi Glover, Tempe, AZ; cousins, Gina (Randy) Priselac, Elizabeth, PA; Carla Sabella, Chuck Sabella, Pete (Denise) Sabella, John (Janine) Sabella, and Joseph (Kim) Sabella, all of New Brighton; Matthew Glover, Austin, TX; Samuel Glover, Tempe, AZ and their families, and his devoted caregiver, James Pashuta, Koppel.
In addition to his mother, Judith, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Peter and Theresa Sabella; maternal grandparents, Olson and Wilda Glover, and aunts and uncles, Peter and Joanne Sabella, Mark Glover and Olson "Skip" Glover.
Friends will be received Monday 3 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Tuesday 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy
Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
In lieu of flowers, the family wish memorials be made in his name to the scholarship fund at "USJCI Senate Foundation", 747 Oak Hall Lane, Ballwin, MO 63021.
