Tanner James Dietrich

April 27, 2011 — October 24, 2024

Rochester

Tanner James Dietrich, born on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 as a healthy 10lb 4oz baby boy, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 24 in his home.  His loss is immeasurable.

Tanner is survived by his parents, Brandy and Gene Dietrich, and older sister Ellie.  Tanner is also survived by his maternal grandparents, John and Sheila Goldinger, and his paternal grandparents, Debbie Dunlap and Ken Dietrich. Tanner will also be missed by his loyal, furry companion, Cooper.  Tanner is survived by his loving extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he loved spending time with.

In his short life, Tanner made an impact on many and accomplished so much.  In the summer months, Tanner enjoyed time with family camping at Evergreen Lake Park, where he would swim, fish, chop firewood, and have chats by the campfire.  Tanner participated in many activities in the Rochester community including, twerp football, basketball, baseball, art club, DnD, and the Rochester High School Marching Band.

Tanner enjoyed spending time in the garage with his Pap, riding his bike, playing Minecraft with his sister, baking Funfetti cupcakes, playing his drums, and listening to music.

Tanner became quite the traveler in his short life. He loved traveling with his family to places like Disney World, Universal Studios, Massanutten, Conneaut, New York, trips to Florida, a cruise to the Bahamas, and many other places.

Tanner’s future was bright and full of many more traveling plans: a cruise with all of his family to the Bahamas, Christmas break activities, and concerts.

A viewing will be held at J & J Spratt’s Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave, New Brighton on Sunday, October 27th, from 1-7 p.m. On Monday, October 28th, at 11:00 a.m., a funeral service will be held at the Rochester Free Methodist Church, 480 Jefferson Street, Rochester, with Pastor Melvern McRoberts offitiating.
