Theodore Greaves, 50, of New Brighton, went to be with his precious Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 23, 2016, in the Cardiac intensive care unit of Montefiore Hospital.
He graduated from New Brighton High School and attended Beaver County Community College before joining the Air National Guard of PA. He trained to be an Emergency Medical Technician and served as such in the Guard. He was profoundly proud to have served his country when activated during Desert Storm. Ted worked as a security guard at Pittsburgh International Airport prior to 911. He operated and was part owner of the Pressed 4 Time, a pick-up and delivery dry cleaning service, and helped with his father's shoe repair business. He was a member of the New Brighton United Methodist Church. He was an avid sports fan and was a never ending source of information on many, many subjects. He will be greatly missed by his family, whom he loved very much.
He is survived by his mother, Carol (Blankenbicker) Greaves Gigliotti; aunts, Diane Cornelius, New Brighton; Barbara Blankenbicker, Florida; Joanne Dyer, Texas; Michalina (Charles) Brown, Maryland; Maria Gigliotti, Texas; uncles, Lee (Barb) Blankenbicker, New Brighton; Frank (Mary) Gigliotti, New Castle; Guy Gigliotti, New Castle; great aunt, Doris (Bill) Rexroad; very good friend, Jack Stewart; his devoted dog, Sheba, and numerous cousins and his wonderful church family.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Theodore G. Greaves; stepfather, John Gigliotti; sister, Pamela Greaves St. John; maternal grandparents, Hazel and Archie Blankenbicker; paternal grandparents, Anna and Joseph Gigliotti; uncles, Anthony Gigliotti and John Blankenbicker and aunt, Patricia Vorderbrueggen.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Ted will lie in state Monday from 10 a.m. until time of celebration of life service at 11 a.m. in the New Brighton United Methodist Church, with Rev. Scott Berkley officiating.
Cremation will take place after the service.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the church to provide full military honors.
