Theresa M. (Pessina) Rogers

Theresa M. (Pessina) Rogers, 99, of Daugherty Twp., passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Friendship Ridge.

She was born February 23, 1913 in Beaver Falls, a daughter of the late Frederico and Magdalena (Carnevella) Pessina. She had worked for the New Brighton Area School District in the cafeteria and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Rogers, 1957; a son Donald Rogers, 1956, and a sister, Rose and her husband Harry Lack.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Martha Rogers, Daugherty Twp.; one granddaughter, Shannon Rogers, Raleigh, NC; one sister and brother-in-law, Elda and Anthony Lamia, Bridgewater; four nephews Bill and his wife Pamela Kredel, Brighton Twp.; George and his wife Patricia Kredel, Brighton Twp.; Father Tom Kredel, New Brighton, and Mike and his wife Nancy Kredel, Lynnwood, NJ, and their families.

As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. However, friends are invited to her Mass of Christian burial Monday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church with her godson, Rev. Father Tom Kredel, officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
