Thomas “Tom” Daniel Samchuck

Thomas D. Samchuck, 62, of New Brighton, Pa passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital, with his loving family by his side.   He bravely fought a Retropharyngeal abscess which led to a blood infection.

Tom was born December 15, 1958, in Rochester, Pa to the late Andrew and Anna Rose Lapic Samchuck. In addition to his parents, two brothers; William Steven Samchuck and Andrew George Samchuck preceded him in death.

Survivors include his two sisters, Carolyn J. Samchuck Frederick, of Beaver Falls, Pa, and Kathryn A. Samchuck of Rochester, Pa; sister-in-law, Edith Jo “Edie McCall Samchuck of Ellicott City, MD, nephew, Aaron William Samchuck and great niece, Lacey Grace Samchuck of Pasadena, MD.

After attending and graduating from technical school in Pittsburgh, Tom moved to Fort Lauderdale and worked as a dental technician of multiple years.  He then moved on to start his own window tinting business.  In 2015, Tom returned to PA.  He enjoyed working with his hands and restoring old cars.  He loved hanging out with his family and cousins and taking long walks.  Tom had a keen interest in studying homeopathic medicine.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave. New Brighton, where prayers will be held Friday at 9:30, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, at 10am, in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 632 Virginia Ave. Rochester, with Father Mark Carter officiating.

Interment will follow at St Peter and Paul Ukranian Cemetery.
