Valeria 'Babe' (Kulakowski) Wilfong

Valeria "Babe" (Kulakowski) Wilfong, 83, of Tampa, FL, formerly of New Brighton, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa.
Born January 17, 1933 in New Brighton, a daughter of Kenneth and Jessie (Leszynski) Kulakowski. She was a member of the American Legion Post #19 Ladies Auxiliary, the former Polish Falcons Club, the Blind Association, the Senior Center of Lutz, FL and the Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Wilfong, March 30, 2000; five sisters, Regina, Mary, Helen, Gen and Jessie and one brother, Michael.
Surviving are three sons, Dennis (Susie) Wilfong, Cedartown, GA; Tim Wilfong, Napels, FL, and Jeffrey (Vickie) Wilfong, New Brighton; one daughter, Marlene (Rich) Ziegler, Tampa, FL; two grandsons, Christopher Wilfong and Rich (Alejandra) Ziegler Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Isabella Ziegler; one granddaughter, Crystal Ziegler; a step-grandson, Mike Nicole; a step great-grandson, Zachary Nicole, several nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
