Vincent  T. Kasparek, 96, of Louisville, OH, formerly of North Sewickley Township, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at St. Joseph Care Center, Louisville, OH.

Born January 7, 1920, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Thomas and Frances (Laposkosky) Kasparek. Vincent was an active member of Catholic Community of Holy Family Parish, New Brighton, since 1955. He was a retired general hydraulics foreman at Babcock & Wilcox with 42 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Ondrusek; brothers, Joseph, Walter, Jerry, Tony and Oldrick; grandson, baby Michael Kasparek, and son-in-law, Tom Fortner.

Surviving are his devoted wife of 68 years, Ann (Nalepa) Kasparek, Louisville, OH; two sons and their spouses, Thomas and Nancy (Quay) Kasparek, Louisville, OH, and Terry and Maggie (Robson) Kasparek, Fountain Hills, AZ; a daughter, Annie Fortner, Tallmadge, OH; three granddaughters and their spouses, Kristen and Jeff Leslie, Cleveland, OH, Amy and Craig Kneidel, Massillon, OH, and Kelly and Jim Sharp, Louisville, OH; two grandsons, Tommy Fortner and wife Beth, and Tyler Fortner, Tempe, AZ; six great-grandchildren, Lauryn Nicole and Ben Leslie, Luke and Nathan Kneidel, Emery Sharp and Ava Fortner, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Vincent was a veteran of World War II and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service in the Philippines, Pacific Theatre. He built a home next to his parent's farm in North Sewickley Township and lived with his wife and family at his Shangri-La for over 60 years.

Friends will be received Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of his Mass of Christian burial at 2 p.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 521 7th Avenue, New Brighton, with Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the cemetery to provide full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made, in his name, to St. Joseph Care Center, 1882 Knob Street, Louisville, OH 44614.
