Violet Capan Murphy, 89 of New Brighton, formerly of Marion Hill, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born July 1, 1926 in Edna, Pa she is the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Capan. Violet was a 1945 graduate of New Brighton and Mason Felix Beauty School in Pittsburgh. She worked for LTV Steel as an inspector in the Welded tube division for over ten years and also worked as a caregiver in New Brighton and Rochester. She enjoyed camping, yard sales, crocheting, making quilt tops, reading Amish books and spending time with her family. Violet was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Brighton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. “Murph” Murphy, June 2001, sister, Dolores Radosevich, and two brothers, Frank and Sonny.
Surviving are two daughters and a wonderful son-in-law; Patti (Dave) Dinello, New Brighton, Jodi Murphy Senka, Berlin Center, OH, three grandchildren, Rhonda (Chris) Keith, Glen Allen, VA; Shaun Flaherty, New Brighton, Andrew Senka, Richmond, VA, six great grandchildren, Justin, Celina, Jada, Devin, Ayden, Rowen whom she enjoyed spending time with and spoiled them with hugs and kisses, a special friend, Tammy Ketterer Kaufold, a sister-in-law, Shirley Capan, Warrenton, VA.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:30 p.m. in the J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton. Rev. Frank Kantz, officiating.
