Walter F. Lapic, 83, of Daugherty Twp., passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Heritage Valley, Sewickley.

Born April 2, 1940, in New Brighton he is a son of the late Walter and Anastasia (Terek) Lapic.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a draftsman by profession.  He was a devout Catholic, and long-time member of the former St. Cecilia’s Parish, Rochester.  Walter loved old cars, especially Buicks, and more than anything loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Lapic.

Surviving is his daughter, Lisa Marie Kopp, son, Walter Daniel Lapic (Cara), grandchildren, Zayne Kopp, Maizie Lapic, Evelina Lapic; siblings, Joseph M. (Katheryn) Lapic, Margaret (James) Kaye, Janet (Edwin) Starkweather, James (Irene) Lapic, and MaryAnn Lapic, numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Wednesday, January 3, from 1-3pm and 5-7pm, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave. New Brighton; where prayers will be held Thursday at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am, in Our Lady of the Valley, St. Cecilia Parish, Rochester.

Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:15 to conduct military honors for their comrade.
