Warren R. Hiltz, Sr.

Warren R. Hiltz, Sr., 86, of New Brighton, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2o12 at Connerstone Hospice, Tavares, FL.

Born February 4, 1925 in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Maude (Gauss) Hiltz. He was a retired truck driver working for several companies. Warren was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the American Legion, Post #19, New Brighton.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 year, Mary “Lou” (Wilson) Hiltz, July 22, 2007; three brothers, Walter and John Hiltz, and Clifford Hunt; three sisters, Julie Elmer, Dorothy Adams, and Clara York.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law: Warren Jr. and Bonnie Hiltz, Newport Richey, FL, Raymond and Rose Hiltz, Palm Harbor, FL, and Tim and Lisa Hiltz, New Brighton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Fred Lauderbaugh, Eustis, FL, Lynda and Randy Russin, Tavares, FL; six grand children; Carrie (Ian) Jorgensen, Brandi and Amber Russin, Tim Kelsy, and John Hiltz; one great granddaughter, Alexis Alfoldy; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Arlene Hiltz, Beaver Falls; one sister, Anna Mae Lipan, New Brighton, and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the cemetery to provide military honors.
