William John Copper

William John Copper, 69, of New Brighton passed away at home Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Born November 20, 1953, in Rochester, Pa., he is a son and sixth of seven children, of the late Robert L. and Romelia (Sedillo) Copper.  He had worked at various factories in the area before becoming disabled.  He liked to fish at the river, playing slots at the casino, and enjoyed sitting on the porch and talking with the other residents at his apartment complex.

He is survived by his son, Ted Copper, sisters, Alice Gallagher and Eileen Beaver, brother, Joe (Vivian) Copper, brother-in-law, Jerry Speelman, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Speelman, and brothers, Dennis and Harry Copper.

Per William’s request there will be no service, and he will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
