William J. Edwards Jr., 79, of Beaver Falls, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.
Born January 30, 1936 in Vanport, a son of the late William Sr. and Sarah (Simmons) Edwards. He was a retired supervisor for the former Hydril Company in Rochester. He was a member of the Fishers of Boys in Darlington.
Surviving are four daughters, Pam Schutte and Tracy Firczak, both of Beaver Falls; Kim Edwards and her husband Larry Nalepa, Ellwood City, and Terry Shields, Monroeville; a daughter-in-law, Margie Edwards, Beaver Falls; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donnie (Shirley) Edwards, Darlington; two sisters, Sandy (Eugene) Reed, Mewpol, WV, and Joann (Robert) Hall, Sagle, ID, and several nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Kenny Edwards; a granddaughter, Brandy Edwards; one brother, Jim Edwards and his former wife, Linda Lou Edwards.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with Pastor Danny Hawes officiating.
Cremation will take place after the funeral.
