William E. Hamilton, 67, of North Sewickley Twp., passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Savior on Sunday, October 14, 2012, in his home.

Born December 18, 1944, in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late William H. Hamilton and Wanda M. Hamilton-Holbert. He was formerly employed as a machinist at Babcock & Wilcox for 20 years and remained in the steel industry in several positions,  lastly working at Penn State Special Metals in Koppel.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene, New Brighton, he served in various ministries.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lynda (Hanway) Hamilton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jonell (Ron) Raab, Beaver Falls and Missy (Doug) Raab, New Brighton; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger L. and Sharon K. Hamilton, Spelter, WV; a sister-in-law, Lisa J. Hambel, Dormont, several nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jeanie Hamilton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. James D. and Janice L. Hanway, and a brother-in-law, Rev. Charles Hambel.

Friends will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. On Wednesday evening, friends will be received from 5:30 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Church of the Nazarene, 417 Penn Avenue, New Brighton, with Rev. Donald W. MacNeil, officiating.

Interment will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Cemetery and Mausoleum, Fairmont, WV.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made, in his name, to the Church of the Nazarene, 417 Penn Ave., New Brighton, PA 15066.
