William J. Hardy

William J. Hardy, 88, of New Brighton, PA, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born March 24, 1935, in New Brighton, he was the only son of the late William R. and Caroline (Feit) Hardy. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany.  He retired as a foreman from Armstrong World Industries after more than 40 years.  He was a member of the former Grace Methodist Church, New Brighton.  Bill was a member of the Beaver Falls Elks, Owls and the former Sons of Italy (SOI) where he loved playing bocce and visiting with his friends.  He will be remembered as a very kind, caring and loving man who had a contagious sense of humor and a beautiful smile.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Beth Ann (Kevin) McCarthy, Nancy (Keith) Radcliff, Dulcey Liberty , sons, Robert Haney, Daniel Libert, David (Angie) Libert, grandchildren, Patrick and Timmy McCarthy, Carly (Chase) McNutt, Jaclyn (Evan) Dixon, Abbey (Jon) Bushmire, Andre’ and Kayla Haney, Brandon and David Libert, Codie and Josh DeLay, Howard Liberty, Christina, Michelina, and Gabriella Libert; numerous nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren, and sisters Linda (Stan) Sheets and Carolyn Hromika.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Hardy, sisters Shirley “Pat” Wilson and Sara Spickerman and son Doug Libert.

Private family services were held at Bill’s request.
