William J. 'Jim' Roser

William J. Roser, 84, of North Sewickley, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Born March 25, 1931, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Thomas and Florence (Yeager) Roser. Jim retired after 37 years of service at B&W where he was a crane follower. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and loved gardening, Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and the Pitt Panthers. One of Jim's passions was running marathons and he loved to encourage others to run as well. He was a member of the Marion Hill Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, New Brighton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas "Jack" Roser.
Surviving are his loving wife, Frances (Boehm) Roser; three children and their spouses, Kimberly (Keith) Wolber, Daugherty Twp.; Scott (Toni) Roser, Port Ewen, NY, and Holly (Tony) Ziegler, Rochester Twp.; eight grandchildren, Bryan (Cathlene) Durkos, Mallory Durkos, Richard, Christopher, Marie and Brittany Roser, Kyle and Celeste Ziegler, and two great-grandchildren, Brielle and Adelina.
Friends will be received Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Marion Hill Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 4607 Rochester Road, New Brighton, PA 15066. Pastor James Krouse will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
