Wilma Jean 'Nan' McDaniels
Wilma Jean "Nan" McDaniels, 83, of North Sewickley, formerly of New Brighton, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born May 24, 1930, in Buckhannon, WV, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Janie (Shinglton) Page. She was a dedicated homemaker and a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Unionville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie F. McDaniels, March 12, 2010.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Wilda McDaniels, New Brighton; three daughters, Lois Reed and her companion, Fred Samsa, Ambridge; Betty Jo and her husband, Jerry Stockman, North Sewickley and Vickie McDaniels, New Brighton; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Gaus, Lori (Tom) Weber, Adam (Becky) McDaniels, Gerilynn (Jim) Cummings, Lexie (Mark) Chlebeck, Matthias (Cami) Stockman and Micah Stockman; eleven great-grandchildren, Janna, Keith, John, Joe, Tommy, Joci, Emma, Ava, Matthias Jr., Roman and Audra Jo; one brother and his wife, William "Tuck" and Norma Jean Page, Buckhannon, WV; sister-in-law, Olga McDaniels, Buckhannon, WV; a brother-in-law and his wife, Rick and Karen McDaniels, Coraopolis; a sister-in-law, Sharon Decker, Melbourne, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and their families and her dear friend, Patti Leaf Pintur.
Friends will be received today from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. David Howells of the Church of the Living Christ, Bridgewater, officiating.
Private interment will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
