Alexander Joseph Narvett Jr., 86, of New Brighton, passed peacefully Wednesday, February 1, 2023, he
was surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 27, 1936, in New Brighton, he is the son of the late Alexander J. and Frances (Eaglowski)
Narvett Sr. Alex was a 1954 graduate of New Brighton High School. He worked at Keystone Bakery and
was a postal carrier in Gibsonia, PA. Alex served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Campbell, KY with the 101st Airborne Battle Group “Screaming Eagles” from 1956-1958. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Cecilia Parish, and golfed in the United Croatian Club New Brighton league. Alex was best known for being a loving husband, father and grandfather who treasured his family above all else.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Genevieve and brothers, George and Casimer.
Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Roseanne (Graff) Narvett; five children, Lisa (Mike) Smakosz, Crescent, PA; Teri (Steve) Crone, Nashville, TN; Francie Narvett-Kittelberger (John Meyers), New Galilee, PA.; Lorraine (Dan) Senesky, New Orleans, LA; Alex (Alison) Narvett III, Economy Borough, PA; grandchildren,T.J. Mike, Grace Smakosz, Jessica Crone, Zachary (Kaitlyn) Crone, Ryan Crone, Kyle Kittelberger, Karlee Szyperski, Josef Kittelberger, Nicole Kittelberger, John Senesky, Steven Senesky, Mary Narvett and Lily Narvett; Brothers, Tom and Lou Narvett, both of New Brighton; several nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Monday, February 6, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton, PA. Prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church. Fr. Howard Campbell, officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.
VVA Chapter 862 will provide military honors for Alex at 11:15 a.m. at the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
