Anthony Bartley, 69, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born November 28, 1951 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Eugene H. and Rita Marie (Farmer) Bartley. Tony worked as a riverboat pilot for Industry Terminal and Salvage for over 40 years. He enjoyed sports and was a former track sprinter in his youth. He loved playing cards, gambling, and watching Westerns. He will be remembered as a loving father and companion.
He is survived by his daughters, Joey Bartley, Toni Marie Bartley, Jaime Cavallaro (Brad Shearer), grandchildren, Tyler Anthony Bartley and Chelsea Ann Bartley, step-children, Tricia Sofranko, Catie Wooley, Joe Sofranko, and Jackie Sofranko; brothers, Eugene H. Bartley Jr. and Roy Bartley, his loving companion, Barbara Donatella, and former wife Kathy Edwards.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Garlow, and long-time companion, Cathleen Sofranko.
Friends will be received Friday from 2pm until the time of the memorial service at 4pm, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave. New Brighton, with Pastor Donald MacNeil officiating.
