Barbara (Newton) Wallen

Barbara Newton-Morrison-Wallen, 63, of Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 17, 2022, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born March 4, 1958, in Aliquippa, she was a daughter of the late Vernard and Angelica (Bevivino) Newton.  She was a retired retail cashier.  Methodist by faith, she was a member of the Beaver Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church.  She enjoyed bingo, traveling to West Virginia with her sister, and loved playing with her grandkids, and being with her family.

Barbara is survived by her children, Amanda and Michael Vasalech, Melissa Petrow and Devin Davis, David Petrow Jr., grandchildren, James Sims, Johnathin Vasalech, Aaliyah Bailey, and Jezzeble Davis, sisters, Beverly Newton-Crowl, Bonnie Dorchnic, Brenda Schneider, brother, Vernard “Butch” Newton Jr., as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Don Finch Jr, and grandson, Michael Vasalech Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 20 at 3:00pm, in the Beaver Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church, 2282 Constitution Blvd. Beaver Falls, with Pastor Joe Ball officiating.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
