Betty A. (McKelvey) Bross

Betty A. (McKelvey) Bross, 81, of New Brighton, passed away Saturday July 31, 2021 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born July 21, 1940 in Beaver Falls a daughter of the late George and Edith (Fosnaught) McKelvey. She was a member of the New Brighton United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and sang in the choir. Betty was also the former Democratic Chair Women and a former member of the Planning Commission.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jospeh P. Bross Sr., December 15, 2019, one son Howard Liberty III , step son Randy Bross, two sisters Laura Mannion and Rebecca Geisler and one brother George “Buzz” McKelvey.

Surviving are her daughter Linda (Frank) Spagina, New Brighton, daughter-in-law Kimberly Liberty, Columbianna, OH, step daughter Darlene Houk, New Castle, step son Jospeh P. Bross Jr., New Brighton, grandchildren Heather (Roger) Frazzini, New Brighton, Frank Spagina Jr., Rochester, Angela Liberty, Koppel, Matthew Liberty, Ambridge, Miranda (Christopher) Visnesky, ford City and Howard Liberty IV,Beaver Falls, great grandchildren Tyler (Mallary) Frazzini, Kirsten Frazzini, Alyssa Frazzini, Annastazia Spagina, Frank Spagina III and Aurora Spagina, great-great grandchildren Braelyn Frazzini and Brionna Liberty, Annabelle Visnesky, four brothers Thomas McKelvey, Rochester, Matthew “Butch”(Irma) McKelvey, New Brighton, James (Dorothy) McKelvey, Monaca and Dennis McKelvey, Monaca, three sisters Gloria Boyce, Rochester, Patricia Pander, North Sewickley and Doreen (Tony) Vidovich, New Brighton, many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and their families    

Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am with Rev. Gary Hilton officiating.

Private interment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
