Beverly R. (Murphy) McCanna
Beverly Ruth (Murphy) McCanna was called home by her Heavenly Father on April 29, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 19, 1937 to the late Lawrence Murphy and the late Ruth Southwick Billion.
She was married to William (Bill) McCanna for 33 years until his passing in 2018. They enjoyed camping, dancing, playing cards and spending time in Florida or in the mountains. She and her husband also delivered meals for Meals on Wheels. Beverly loved her family, especially her grandchildren attending their dance recitals, baseball games, basketball games, football games and swim meets. She loved to cheer for the New Brighton Lions football team and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Her parents, her husband, her brothers Norman Murphy and Bill Billion as well as several brothers-in-law preceded her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Tamara (Richard) Waxler,Sr., a son, Gerald (Kimberly) Inman III, and a stepson Jeffrey (Janet) McCanna. She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Ricky and Adam Waxler, Jeremy and Jessica Inman, Joshua (Michelle) McCanna and Justin (Amanda) McCanna. She was a great grandmother to Kinsler McCanna and Payton Betz-Koutsourais. She also leaves behind a brother, Charles Murphy, a stepsister, Betty Ann Billion, sisters-in-law, Donna Murphy, Eleanor McCanna, Joy Leech, Vicky Parada, Kathy (Lou) Hickman, Robin Bohon; brothers-in-law Mark McCanna, and Joe (Lee) McCanna as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 2 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Concord United Methodist Church, 285 Concord Church Road, Beaver Falls, PA. Visitation will take place on May 3 from 10 a.m. until time of Christian burial service at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor John Phipps officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed and everyone must wear a mask.
The family would like to thank Carol, Carrie, Sarah and Neil from Grane Hospice and Gina Cornelius for their passionate and wonderful care of Beverly.
