Brandon Lee Richardson, 33, formerly of New Brighton, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020, at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.
Born January 4, 1987, in New Castle he was a son of Odessa Lee Richardson. He was an active member of the 2nd Baptist Church, youth group as a child and was born again. He had been recognized by “Who’s Who,” for his poetry, before graduating with high honors from New Brighton High School in 2005. He was a highly sought-after football recruit, eventually attending NC A&T. He also received his real estate license from Howard Hanna. He was an up and coming hip-hop artist who performed under the name “Born Ready.” Most importantly he loved his family and was a devoted father.
Surviving along with his mother were his sons, Jesus, Jaxson, and Axel, sister, Ciera, brothers, Torrey, Omarri, Michael, stepdad, Marrion, grandfather, Otis Richardson, aunts, Remonica and Tina Richardson, uncle, William Richardson, the mothers of his children, Lelah Mills and Denise Lindsey, as well as numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Katie Richardson.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1pm to 4pm, at the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave, New Brighton. A private family service will be held.
Covid-19 policies of masks and social distancing will be followed in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Brandon’s name to the funeral home.
