Denise D. Ward

Denise D. Ward, 67, of New Brighton passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.

Born August 8, 1954, in New Brighton, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel (Whittle) Dick.  She was most recently employed as a pharmacy tech at CVS after retiring from Western and Southern, and was a former member of the New Brighton SOI and Rochester Elks.  She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, coloring and bowling in her league at Baden Bowl.  She loved her family deeply, especially her daughter.

Surviving is her pride and joy, Heather Ward, New Brighton, brother James (Sandi) Dick, Wampum; sister Peggy (Tony) Sabella, New Brighton; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Along with her parents Denise was preceded in death by sister, Sandy Capo, and brothers, Robert Dick and James Leroy Whittle.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave. New Brighton, where a service will be held Thursday at 11am, with Pastor Donald MacNeil officiating.
