Dennis A. River, 73, of Brighton Twp., passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born December 15, 1945, in Kittanning, Pa., he was the son of the late Daniel and Roxie (Ledford) River.  Dennis was retired from B&W Steel, where he was a foreman and was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church.  Dennis served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Bob, and Danny and his wife, Nancy River.
Surviving are his wife, Susan (Frank) River; three children, Dennis (Beth) River Jr., Beaver Falls, Michael (Josey) River, Indiana Twp. and Pam (Mike) Sundy, Hopewell; stepson, Tim Price, New Brighton; ten grandchildren, Anthony and Julie River, Courtney, Chelsea, Cassidy, Christy and Caylee Sundy, Victor and Sophia River and Gino Pototo; sister, Bonnie Ambrose, Driftwood, Pa. and two sisters-in-law; Betty and Patty River.
At his request there will be no viewing. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Chippewa United Methodist Church from 3:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family wish memorials be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Arlington, VA 22202.
