Dolores R. (Santodonato) Battaglia

Dolores R. (Santodonato) Battaglia, 93, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday August 31, 2021 at Brighton Health & Wellness Center, Brighton Twp. Surrouned by her loving family.

Born June 6, 1928 in Mt. Washington of Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Fee) Santodonato. She was a graduate of Mercy Hospital, Class of 1950 and worked as a registered nurse for close to fifty years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley, Holy Family Parish and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court #1695 and the Christian Mothers. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother.

In addition to her mother and father she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph B. Battaglia, on April 25, 2007, one brother Louis Santodonato, two sisters Gloria Santodonato and Odilia Thomas.

Surviving are three sons Joseph (Donna) Battaglia, Kennedy Twp., John (Debbie) Battaglia, Chippewa Twp, James (Kelly) Battaglia, Daugherty Twp., seven grandchildren Joey, Vince, Johnny, Heather, Jimmy, Kelsey and Jesse, seven great grandchildren Dominic, Gianni, Carmine, Fia, Giovanni, Mila and Roman, several nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Monday September 6th from 2-4 & 6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue.  Friends will be received Tuesday September 7th from 9:00am until time of closing prayers at 9:30am in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Valley, Holy Family Parish, 732 7th Avenue, New Brighton.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
