Eleanor L. Ernst, 86, of New Brighton, formerly of Jamaica, NY passed away Thursday October 7, 2021 at the home of her niece.

Born November 23, 1934 in Bell Harbor, Rockaway Beach, NY, a daughter of the late Walter Theador and Eleanor (Porter) Ernst. She was a private secretary and bookkeeper for McDonald Inc., Investment Brokers in NYC, NY. She was New York State Notary for 50 years and was the Election Board Chairman for 60 years in Queens, NY. She enjoyed European travel, Rockaway Beach, theater and ballet.

Survived by her niece Deirdre (Timothy) Schaub, New Brighton, two nephews Scott (Pamela) Willoughby, Middletown, NY and Michael (Christine) Willoughby, East Stroudsburg, PA, and their families.

In addition to her mother and father she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Judith and Bob Willoughby and nephew Robert Willoughby.

There will no visitation. A family service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Queens, NY at a time to be announced by the family.
