Jacob E. Diehl, 79, of Big Beaver, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Heritage Valley, Sewickley.
Born April 2, 1944, in Beaver Falls, he is the son of the late Jacob and Marguerite (Hart) Diehl. A kind-hearted soul who lived life on his own terms. He was a man of unwavering determination, known for his stubborn yet endearing ways. His daily deliveries of milk brought joy to all his customers, and his extra touch of sweetness was the Tootsie Roll lollipops he handed out to all. He was a steel hauler for the local Teamsters and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amy (Clinefelter) Diehl, brother, Paul Diehl and a son-in-law, Chuck Horstman.
Surviving is three daughters and sons-in-law, Marguerite (Chris) Bailey, Chesapeake City, MD, Joyce (Rory) Rossi, New Brighton, Karen Horstman, Big Beaver, six grandchildren, Brittany (Josiah) Martin, Zackary (Amanda) Bailey, Brian Rossi, Braeden, Kiyah, and Barrett “Buck” Horstman, two great grandchildren, Leliana Martin and Wyatt Bailey, brother, Wesley (Catherine) Diehl, Beaver Falls, two sisters, Faith (John) Tritt, Beaver Falls, Donna Diehl, Beaver Falls, sister-in-law, Vonnie Diehl, New Galilee, several nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Friday from 5 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, New Brighton. Pastor, Win Groseclose officiating.
