James Michael Dunlap, 70, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born December 19, 1950, in New Brighton, he was a son of William R. and Joan (Baxter) Dunlap. Jim was a retired Stores Foreman for US Air, having worked for over 30 years. He was known as a guy who could fix anything. He enjoyed Sudoku, and was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. He loved amusement parks and traveling, especially yearly family vacations. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, to those who meant the most to him.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (St. John) Dunlap, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Brian Schlichtkrull, son, Timothy Dunlap, grandchildren, Dominic Dunlap, Emily Dunlap, Sydney Schlichtkrull, and Carson Henshey; sister, Martha (Paul) Tress, brothers, Rob Dunlap and Jeff (Colleen) Dunlap.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave. New Brighton, and Monday from 9 until the time of service at 10am, with Pastor Jan Davis officiating.
Private interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
