Jennie Lou Pflugh, 90, of New Brighton, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, at the Grove at Harmony.
Born August 29, 1930, in Ellwood City, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Emily (Harris) Bates. She was formerly a medical secretary, and was a member of the Rainbow Girls. She was a member of the Kitchen Band, who also liked bingo and roller skating. She enjoyed the annual Pet Walk in which she would clothe her pet cat “Precious” in seasonal outfits and push her in a baby stoller.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna (Bryan) Eakles, grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Nicole Phillips, Devin (Sasha) Eakles, Bryan Eakles Jr., Tom (Abigale) Smith, and Jason (Karen) Smith, great-grandchildren, Taylin Phillips, Cheyenne Phillips, Dakota Phillips, Trevon Phillips, Caleb Smith, Hayleigh Stevenson, Brad Littleton, Aiden Smith, Quinn Smith, Liam Smith, and great-great-grandchildren, Connor Deem, Kamden McCall, Amaziah Moon, Molly Smith, Audrey Smith, Henry Smith, Benjamin Smith, Marshall Bertko, Elijah Bertko, Logan Stevenson, and Madelyn Stevenson .
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Smith, husbands, Melvern Myers Smith, and Kenneth Pflugh, sister, Grace Schram, and brothers, Walter and Robert Bates.
Per her request there will be no services.
Private family burial was held at Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
