Margaret K. “Marge” (Krupa) McKenzie, 88, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday February 3, 2015 at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.

Born March 4, 1926 in New Galilee a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Seles) Krupa. She was the former owner of the former McKenzie’s Lounge, Big Beaver and McKenzie’s Flower Shop, both of Beaver Falls. Marge was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in New Brighton. She was also a dedicated volunteer, having served as the Second Vice President then chairman of Human Resources committee and the public relations chairman for the League of Women Voters of Beaver Valley, the McGuire Guild for the McGuire Home for Exceptional Children, a United Fund volunteer for the disabled of Upper Beaver Valley, the New Brighton Public Library, the Merrick Art Gallery Association, the Holy Family Eucharistic Minister, Christian Mothers, C. D. of A., Bingo Kitchen worker and was the head decorator for all holidays at Holy Family.  

She was preceded in death by her first husband John Mitchell, K.I.A. WWII, and her second husband Clifford McKenzie in 1991, two brothers Emil and Tony Krupa and two sisters Rosemary Jones and Ann Groff.

Surviving are daughter Tonie Labon, New Brighton, son and daughter-in-law Roy and Dianne McKenzie, San Ramon, CA, grandson Ray Labon, New Brighton, granddaughter Elaine (James) Domitrovich, Landenberg, PA, five great grandchildren Jimmy, Billy, Tessa, Mitchell and Paige, one brother, Gene Krupa, Beaver Falls, one sister, Pat Claus, Phoenix, AZ, several nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received  Thursday  2-4 & 6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where prayer will be held Friday at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in Holy Family Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
