Mary Helen Rudish, a New Brighton resident and a former resident of Monaca, PA, for many years, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, PA. She was 98 years old.
Born November 8, 1922, in Reading, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Frances Kasunic. The family relocated to Wheeling, West Virginia, where she grew up as one of seven children. In 1939 she married Frank Rudish (now deceased) in Wheeling, West Virginia and the couple moved to Monaca, PA where they established, owned and operated The Monaca Home Baking Company for many years. After her retirement from the bakery, she became a health care worker.
Surviving her is one sister, Dolores “Bibi” Zien of Wheeling, West Virginia; her sons, Patrick Rudish, New Brighton, PA; Frank (Lynn) Rudish, Chippewa, PA; and daughter, Dr. Lorie (Tom) Annarella, Downers Grove, IL. Her grandchildren are Maria (John) Oppenheimer, Christopher Rudish, Mary Beth (David) Annarella, Jan (Julie) Annarella, Erin (Todd) Kreidler Annarella.
Great-grandchildren are: Matthew (Melissa) Jerry, Elliot Jerry, Evan Kreidler, John Kopadis, Paraskevas Rudish, Helen Rudish, Christina Rudish, Bia Rudish.
A Mass will be said at a future date in her honor at St. John the Baptist Church in Monaca, PA. Interment took place at St Joseph Cemetery, New Brighton.
