Matthew C. Klutka, 36, of Patterson Twp., formerly of New Brighton, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer at Good Samaritan Hospice Wexford.
Born August 28, 1979 in Rochester, a son of Andrew "Skip" Klutka, Beaver and Kathleen (Hovancik) Klutka, Daugherty Twp. Matt was a 1998 graduate of New Brighton High School and a 2003 graduate of Bethany College with a degree in communications. He was a regional sales manager for Curbell Plastics and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his son, Cebran "Tiger" Netherland, White Twp.; his girlfriend, Chelsea Howe, Patterson Twp.; aunts and uncles, Helene and Joseph Kralic, Daugherty Twp., Joseph and Joyce Hovancik, New Sewickley Twp. and Clinton "Bud" Dalzell, Patterson Twp.; special family, Sidney Shaw and her children Stephanie, Kasie and Leslie Higgins, Beaver, and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Joseph and Helen Hovancik, and paternal grandparents, Andrew "AK" and Olive "Jiggs" Klutka.
Friends will be received Tuesday 2 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic with Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Friends are asked to meet at the church.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
