Rebecca "Becky" Boyde

Rebecca M. Boyde, 76, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Born May 7, 1946, in Rochester, she is the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Bonaparte) McCutcheon.   Becky was a successful business owner of Inside the Attic, New Brighton, Chairperson of the Bridgewater Community Development, oversaw the Bridgewater Pumpkinfest for nine years, and a passionate quilter, sewer, and upholsterer. While a member of Our Lady of the Valley, Holy Family, she served on both the Finance and Stewardship Committees.  She worked for Michaels Arts and Crafts, was a teacher aid for 12 years in New Brighton School District and was a New Brighton Band parent for eight years and president for two years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Boyde, Sr., October 22, 1998.

Surviving is her children; Richard (Patty) Boyde, Jr., Philadelphia, David Boyde, Daugherty Twp., Jason (Christie) Boyde, Delaware; five grandchildren, Johnathan, Christopher, Matthew, Connor, Cassidy, great granddaughter, Karsyn; brother, Edward McCutcheon, VA: sister, Betty Jean Montano, PA; nieces, nephews, and their families.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton.   Prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley, Holy Family Parish, New Brighton. 

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
