Rita M. (Lapping) Tedrow

Rita M. Tedrow, 84, of Friendship Commons, formerly of New Brighton passed away at home, Thursday May 13, 2021.

Born October 11, 1936 Waynesburg Pa., she is the daughter of the late Stanley and Leota (Rush) Lapping. She worked 30 years at Teledyne Collapsible tube in Rochester. She also worked for Valley Home Care in Ambridge and was an escort for Premiere Physical Therapy at Friendship Ridge. She loved bowling at Beaver Falls Turners, playing cards and camping with her friends. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church, New Brighton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Tedrow.

Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Gary Dambaugh, New Brighton; a grandson, Jonathon (Serena) Dambaugh, a great grandson, who was the apple in her eye, Jonathan Dambaugh, Jr., Beaver Fall; brother, Robert Lapping, North Carolina, formerly of Beaver Falls, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Sandy Tedrow, Beaver Falls.

The family would like to thank the staff and employees of Friendship Commons and Life Beaver County for their support and care of Rita.

A memorial gathering will be held Monday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. in J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton. Rev. Clarence Grant, officiating.
