Robert Jennings Porto
BEAVER FALLS - Rob Porto, of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021, from complications due to cardiac arrest. He was born on May 10, 1970 to Roberta (Lewis) Lawrence and the late Richard Porto. Rob is survived by wife, Dawn Porto, daughters Audrey and Macy Porto, and brother, Brian Porto.
To know Rob is to know the meaning of strength, persistence, and determination. Love for his family was the catalyst for his growth and learning. He consistently strove to become a better person and fought for an existence even in the face of death.
The suddenness of his passing came at an un- expected time in all of our lives. Its untimeliness showcases the importance of telling those you love, how you feel. Death takes away time as an opportunity to push things off for the future or even just wait for a better day. We all know that time is a gift and unfortunately we don’t know when that gift will end.
As a couple, it was fate that brought us together one weekend night at Thursday’s in Bridgewater just as it was fate that allowed his family to be present and comforting him as he passed into the afterlife. He fought to the very end; just as he lived his life.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 in J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton. Private services for family and close friends will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Beaver County Cancer and Heart Association, 3582 Brodhead Road, Suite 201, Monaca, Pa 15061 or Big Brothers Big Sisters of Allegheny County, 5989 Centre Ave, Suite 1, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15206
