Ruth Adele (Troxell) Donley

Ruth A. Donley, 89, of North Sewickley Twp., passed on to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2022.  She passed peacefully and quietly at home with her loving family by her side.  She began her life in Altoona, Pa as the daughter of the late James W. and Ruth (Bretz) Troxell, and later became a sister to her only sibling James Troxell.  She attended Altoona High School, graduated in 1950, and pursued a degree in elementary education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  She was married for 68 years to the love of her life, William H. Donley and together they built a life and family which included four sons and a daughter.  Ruth had a deep love for children.  She dedicated her life to guide and inspire her own five children, and those she taught in her classrooms over 23 years as a public school teacher and many others through her church.  God and her family were the hallmarks of her life and she served both tirelessly and faithfully.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Donley and her five children; Barry (Amy) of Cambridge, OH, Debbie (Clint) LaFever of Lacey, Washington, Neal (Cecilia) of Irwin, PA, Bill of State College, PA, and Mark (Carmela) of Raleigh, N.C., Also survived by ten grandchildren, Chad, Matt, Brittany, Cean, Lucas, Nick, Lindsey, Nate, Grant and Brooke, six great grandchildren, and brother, James H. (Janet) Troxell, Murrysville, PA.

She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.  The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate and loving care Ruth received through Anova caregivers and hospice nurses.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton.  Additional viewing will be held in Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church, 819 Washington Ave, Monaca, PA 15061 Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with her Pastor Angela Smith, officiating.

Private interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
