Shari Lynn (Plues) Yaria

Shari Lynn Yaria, 57 of North Sewickley Twp., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at home with her husband James at her side, following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Born July 2, 1963 in Sewickley, Pa. she is the daughter of Donna (Idzojtic) Plues and the late Charles Plues.  She was a graduate of the Freedom Area School, class of 1981.  After graduation she worked at the former Friendship Ridge, retiring with 38 years of service.  A woman of deep faith, she attended Life Family church (formerly New Brighton Christian Assembly).  Spending time with family was her favorite thing to do.  Shari loved to shop, especially Black Friday shopping with her sister which was a yearly event and as her husband can attest, she was a great shopper!  She enjoyed traveling and loved to play the slots in Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; paternal grandparents Charles and Mildred Plues; her maternal grandparents, George and Irene Idzojtic, and her favorite uncle George L. Idzojtic. and her in-laws, James and Felicia Yaria.

She leaves behind her husband, best friend and love of her life James Yaria, North Sewickley; mother, Donna Plues, Conway, Pa., daughter, Ashley Rogan; sister and brother-in-law; Susan (William) Anderson, New Brighton, Pa.; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Wilcox, New Brighton, Pa.; brother-in-law, John Yaria, North Sewickley; niece and nephews, Jessica and Andrew Kurtz, New Brighton, Pa.; Bradley Anderson, Pittsburgh, Pa., and James A. Yaria, Austin, Tx, and many cousins and friends.

At Shari’s request there will be no viewing. However, a memorial visitation will be held Monday, July 5, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton.  Additional viewing will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Life Family Church, formerly New Brighton Christian Assembly, 1810 Valley Ave, New Brighton, Pa 15066.  Pastor Sam DeMarco, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The American Cancer Society relay for life Team Mac in c/o Sherri Mackenstein, 440 Grove Drive, Beaver, Pa 15009.

A special thank you to all her friends and family for all their visits, cards and prayers during her illness.

She will be laid to rest with her father, Charles Plues at Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
