Stanley “Stush” Dougalewicz, Sr. passed away December 25, 2022, one day shy of his 80th birthday.
Born December 26, 1942, in Beaver Falls, Pa., he is the son of the late Stanley A. and Nellie (Schnitski) Dougalewicz. Stush loved hunting, fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He coached youth baseball in New Brighton and also played and coached softball throughout the county. Stush was retired from Pittsburgh tube where he was a machine operator and served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanie Lynn; brother, Leonard Dougalewicz and a sister, Wanda Yoho.
Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara (Cox) Dougalewicz; three children, Stanley “Babe” Dougalewicz, Jr. (Rhonda Amrhein), Boardman, OH; Joseph Dougalewicz, Stafford, VA; Tammie (John) Wherry, New Brighton; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Ronald Dougalewicz; two sisters, Janice (John) Vitale, New Castle; Linda Jay, Philadelphia, Pa.; cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. in J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave, New Brighton, with Pastor Donald W. MacNeil, officiating.
Per his wishes, cremation will follow all services.
