Tawnya R. (Maier) Thompson

Tawnya R. (Maier) Thompson, 43, of North Sewickley Twp., passed away Monday September 27, 2021 at U.P.M.C. Passavant after a brief illness.

Born November 8, 1977 in Rochester the daughter of Frank A. and Donna (Prince) Maier Jr., of North Sewickley Twp. Tawnya was a hair stylist at her home for 25 years and a devoted mother to her sons. She was a member of the First Church of God of New Brighton.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ronald M. Thompson Sr., two sons Ronny M. Thompson Jr. and Ridge A. Thompson, all of North Sewickley Twp., one brother Frank A. Maier III, North Sewickley Twp., father-in-law and mother-in-law Ronald L. and Karen Thompson, Callery, PA and their family.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Alexandria McKenzie Thompson, 2001 and her brother Bryan S. Maier, 1975.

Friends will be received Saturday October 2, 2021 from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 1:00pm in the First Church of God, 605 9th Street, New Brighton, with her pastor the Rev. Lon Hogue, officiating.

Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

The family request that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, please help and make a donation to the family.

Everyone will be required to wear masks at he church.
