Thelma R. (Sheets) Moyer

Thelma R. (Sheets) Moyer, 88, of New Brighton, passed away January 1, 2022 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Born December 7, 1933 in Massillon, OH a daughter of the late Lester and Tina (Williams) Sheets. Thelma and her late husband, John, dedicated their lives to the service of God and his church.

Survived by two sons Tom (Linda) Moyer, Beaver, Richard (Jeanne) Moyer, Divide, CO, two daughters Debra Moyer and Tina Moyer, both of New Brighton, nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, many nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to her mother and father she was preceded in death by her husband John E. Moyer, two brothers, Arthur and Richard Sheets, two sisters, Donna Summers and Betty Mae Sheets.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 12 Noon in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 third Avenue, New Brighton with pastor Donald W. MacNeil officiating.

Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

The family wishes to thank all of her former caregivers and Vitas Hospice for their care of Thelma.
